（路透紐約3日電）美國聯邦參議員克魯茲（Ted Cruz）今天黯然退出總統選戰，然而他話沒說死，未來參選的大門，小心地沒有關上。
克魯茲還會再當兩年的德州聯邦參議員，2018年才會面臨連任問題。他今天在印第安那州初選慘敗後告訴支持者，將退出選戰，但在黨的未來扮演的角色，並未因此結束。
克魯茲說：「我沒有停止爭取自由的奮戰。」
克魯茲這次爭取提名失利，但若篤定代表共和黨披掛上陣的川普（Donald Trump）在11月8日的大選敗北，2020年共和黨提名戰再起之時，克魯茲可能會是重新浮上檯面的數人之一。中央社（翻譯）
